Printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper 100 x 150 cm. 1/5.
These photographs explore notions of memory within the phenomena of forest fires. By using colored glass plates in front of the camera lens, I strive to encapsulate various moments in the memory of a tree engulfed by a wildfire. I view these works as akin to ‘Engram’ representative of the way memories are stored in the brain.
Shown at Hearth and home, Museum Hilversum & Gallery NL=US Rotterdam.
